Our Dental Colleges' Boys Hostel is located on the medical hostel road, about 1/2km away from the Bapuji Dental College & Hospital campus. It is a combined hostel for both Bapuji Dental College students and the students of College Of Dental Sciences. Furthermove, it accommodates both the undergraduate and postgraduate students of both the colleges. It is a four storey building, with 260 rooms which can accommodate 550 boarders The rooms are double seated. There are two lifts which is in operation all the 24 hours.
For the boarder of the hostel, indoor sports facility like Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom has been provided. Also, there is a well equipped and nicely maintained Gymnasium. There is one Recreation room wherein a 35" Colour T.V. is installed for our boarder's entertainment. For those interected in news papers and Megazines, there is a reading room. In the mess, a light music entertainement during the dining hours through the world of space is played. The Dental Colleges' Boys Hostel has the facility of 24 hours water (both Coroporation & borewells) and electricity supply. In case of power failure, the Generator will start immediately to supply the electricity. For taking bath, hot water facility has been provided through Solar system. In rainy season, water is heated with wood fire. There is Aquaguard facility for water purification and water cooler for taking clean and cold water.
Although it is a mobile era, we have a separate telephone room having two landline telephones ( No.220110,226516). There is one telephone attender for all 24 hours for calling the boarders on receiving the calls. Other important facilities provided in the campus include the Laundry shop, Shaloon, Cobbler and the STD&ISD booth. Other highlight of our hostel campus is green lush garden and the three well maintained scootar parking stands.
We have a combined mess in which both Veg. and Non.Vegtarian food is supplied Every month one Mess-Prefect will be appointed to run the mess. The menu of the food is decided considering the food habits of different regions of the country. At the month end, it is on a dividing system. The average monthly mess bill will come approximately Rs.1080-00 for breakfast, lunch and dinner The cleanliness, hygiene, discipline and the quality of food are the few highlights of our mess.
For administration, there is Warden, Resident Warden, Manager and Asst.Manager. The hostel Office is equipped with a computer, Scanner and printer. Our hostel chairman is Dr.Shamanur Shivashankarappa, Warden, Dr.D.S.Mehta, Resident Warden, Dr.A.T.Prakash and Manager Sri.R.Keshava Raju. Dr.D.S.Mehta took over as Warden on 1st September 1995 form Dr.K.Sadashiva Shetty. (Principal, Bapuji Dental College)
